Portage Dawn: graphite sketch
I had fun with this drawing as it brings back so many early morning trips down the Lady Evelyn River in Temagami; sun just breaking through the trees; mist rising off the river; the coolness of a late summer morning. This graphite pencil work is far less time consuming than pointillism pen & ink, taking about two days to complete but with appreciable results.
