Temagami Canoe Routes Books:

The general survey to preserve Temagami Canoe Routes from logging practices was carried out in 1977. Hap Wilson had already paddled most of the routes from 1970 to 1977. Over 3,000 km of routes were inventoried to produce Wilson’s first canoeing guidebook. The first 5,000 copies sold out in the first year.

We wanted to see if it was a viable option to have a plasticized outer cover before running the first edition. This is the only surviving copy of that run. It was decided that the cost was too prohibitive at the time of printing. The government was selling the book for only $2.00 but it was costing them more than that to mail the books to purchasers.
